Iteration and experimentation go hand in hand.
Likewise, iteration can often be practice for a bigger piece.
Or it combines with play when planning a character illustration.
Sometimes iteration is performative if done retroactively for a piece that's already finished.
And of course, iteration can be used to document how something changes over time.
